Smart Aviation, one of the leading providers of global sports charters, dominated European football finals for the 20th consecutive year last month. The sports charter team was instrumental in these climatic matches once more, flying thousands of fans and VIPs to the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League and UEFA Champions League finals.
The team managed a number of private jet charters for fans, official partners and incentive groups that were hosted in corporate hospitality, and commercial aircraft charters for supporter groups. For many of the fan flights, the team worked closely with specialist sports tour operator partners that Smart has formed long established relationships with over the last twenty years.
Each flight was seen off by Smart personnel at a variety of different airports including Stansted, Luton, Southend and Manchester in the UK and Santander in Spain. Each flight went seamlessly with clients delighted with the high level of service they received:
“Thanks very much for all your help and efforts regarding the recent Europa League Final in Bilbao. These finals are always challenging for everyone and we are pleased that we did some business with you. We work well together to give the best possible service. The representation at the airports was greatly appreciated. Matt and Tom who came to Stansted and Luton were first class and a great support. Mark and Charlotte’s support at Manchester / Santander was also greatly appreciated and they are always 100%”.

Mark Hawkins, Smart Aviation’s Managing Director, said: “The team did a phenomenal job, as always, managing a complex schedule of small and large charters to these three highly anticipated finals. Sport is in the Smart DNA and the operation was seamless. The whole team sends their congratulations to Paris Saint German F.C., Chelsea F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. for these victories. The Smart team is now turning its attention fully to next season’s UEFA Europa League, Europa Conference League and UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds which start on the 17th June”.
