Tried & Tested: Embraer Phenom 100

In this month’s ‘Smart: Tried and Tested’ we’re taking a look at the Embraer Phenom 100, one of the most popular entry-level light jets in the world.

Perfectly combining next-generation avionics, impressive performance and a thoughtfully designed cabin, the Phenom 100 is a favourite among light jet travellers and pilots alike. Its smart, ergonomic interior and advanced flight deck make it an ideal choice for short-haul missions, and it remains one of our go-to aircraft for efficient, comfortable private travel.

Powered by two rear-mounted Pratt & Whitney PW617F-E engines, the Phenom 100 delivers impressive efficiency and reliability for short-haul missions. Despite its light-jet category, every inch of the cabin has been designed to maximise space, comfort and usability, creating a premium environment for both work and relaxation. The aircraft measures 12.8 m (42 ft 1 in) in length, 4.3 m (14 ft 3 in) in height, with a wingspan of 12.3 m (40 ft 4 in).

The Phenom 100 cruises at around 470 mph and has a maximum operating altitude of 41,000 ft. With a range of approximately 1,178 miles, it is perfectly suited to shorter European and domestic routes, offering a maximum of three and a half hours of flying.

With a total baggage capacity of around 232 kg (511 lb), the Phenom 100 can typically accommodate up to four passengers in comfort, along with their luggage and small personal items.
