When an EU aircraft operator needed two spare parts moved urgently to address an AOG (aircraft on ground), our charter team sprung into action and found a solution within minutes, sourcing a Citation CJ1 located in Paderborn (PAD). The aircraft was positioned from Paderborn to Hamburg (HAM) where the small box of spare parts were boarded with their OBC (on-board courier).
The charter flight from Hamburg (HAM) to Dublin (DUB) was carefully monitored by our ops team to ensure a timely departure and arrival into Dublin, and at one point it was the 6th most viewed flight in the world on Flight Radar 24!
The EU operator was able to quickly resolve their AOG issue and get their aircraft back flying, commenting “Thank you for a great job on the short notice. All went well, and our A/C is already flying”.
A big thanks to our partners at Bartolini Air for the swift co-operation, ensuring a successful outcome for our operator client.
This is our second successful ‘go-now’ flight this month, proving our capabilities in delivering a swift and reliable service in time-critical situations – whether we’re flying passengers, pets or in this case, parts.
Earlier this month, a family’s chartered flight to New York was grounded in London due to technical issues with the operator they had booked with, they faced a 20-hour delay. That’s when Matt, our Head of Charter, got the call.
Within hours of speaking with their executive assistant, Matt secured an ultra-long range aircraft, a Global Express XRS, and had the family – and their dog – en route to Westhampton Airport from London Luton Airport just five hours later.
